To get started, let me share with you a few things about myself and what I like to eat. I have been eating juicy cheeseburgers, chicken fried steaks, sausage, bacon and eggs, fried chicken for almost all of my life. I have never had a problem with my weight, cholesterol or blood pressure, however I was starting to have digestion issues with the stated foods above.
I was invited to a long time family friend dinner party and unbeknownst to me, the dinner was made up of foods that were all plant based prepared. The hostess mentioned that we would be served "Soul food that were plant based and I couldn't believe that plant based food could smell so good.
Wow, all of the foods, mac & cheese, hot water cornbread, gumbo, jerk chicken, etc... were all plant based and tasted so delicious. The aroma of the foods smelled so delicious and ever since then, I've been on a mission to include this in my diet and be consistent on a weekly basis.
I have found several restaurants that offers some wonderful dishes and now I am making some adjustments with my eating habits and starting to cook these meals instead of eating out 90% of the time. This is why I am bringing these plant based recipes, food tips and resources to you.
